Can anyone provide some input on the best way to increase treble in this circuit? thanks

The tone network is a Muff tonestack. You can make the treble more treble-y by altering R11 in your schematic. You could also lower the value of C1 to attenuate some of the bass going into the main circuit.

For the record, this circuit does very well on bass, so you may have just picked the wrong circuit to fool around with.
