Doubt with isosceles

As I understood the Isosceles have the fortin 33, fortin grind and tc integrated preamp, right? I am wondering where are the 2 1N914 diodes of the 33 on this, or waht function have in the 33 circuit due that the isosceles does not have them. Thougts?

The Grind and 33 are based on (plagiarized from) the TC Integrated Preamp. In the original version of the Integrated Preamp, (refer to Triangulum schematic) R9, R10, D1, D2 & Q2 were part of a circuit that shorted the input when the input plug was disconnected. Those five parts do nothing in the Triangulum or 33. You might as well leave them out. That's why you don't see them in Isosceles. Sometimes when pedal builders copy other people's designs without fully understanding how they work, they do things that make no sense. I'm not ragging on PedalPCB, they faithfully replicate the commercial pedals, warts and all. The Conqueror Fuzz (Jext Telez White Pedal) also has several parts that do nothing.
