So I just got back from vacation about an hour ago and I have a bunch of emails and orders to catch up on, but getting boards on order so I can sell these is on the to-do list. And actually for the impatient ones I can probably get the 4 extra PCBs I have on hand listed as soon as I get a BOM together.

hmmmm.. I’m definitely wanting to get the order placed before you head off to NAMM. Are there any plans to change the board at all with the new batch?

Nope, this design had already kind of been verified since I did an SMD version a few months ago, the first through-hole batch was just to make sure I didn't screw anything up moving over to through-hole. No changes necessary on this one.
Aside from the BOM I also need to get a drill template together so I can mill boxes and a Tayda template, I haven't done either yet.

That's the main reason I do these Mockups, I confirm with the vendor to make sure it's right with the Control layout.That addition of a depth control is brilliant. I was about to put together another order, but I guess I’ll have to wait until this can be added to it

I could always place a different order for this later, and just get the stuff I was originally going to get now, so you aren’t feeling pressured into putting that stuff together sooner than you planned.
Tho, if they go up with just the BOM I’m ok with that too.
edit: Only getting the PCB and won’t be able to get to building it right away, so whatever works. Looks like a cool device so can’t resist joining the party
editttt: just realized it would probably make sense to split it into 2, if not 3, for the sake of duties/taxes.

I'm still drowning in my post-NAMM to-do list, and this thing is on there. Part of what's holding it up is that I was playing with tubes in it, and I think I don't like the 2x 12AX7, I may choose a different configuration. The BOM is otherwise ready to go, just needs to be converted from my Altium template to my C2C template.
I have a 3-day weekend this weekend (I get every other friday off from my day job) so I'm hoping to get this taken care of over the weekend.

The stock configeration is 2 x 12AX7, it may come down to user preference which is usually what ends up happening anyway???
Does one valve have more distortion going through it than the other?

Yup, exactly that. I don't love the distortion I'm getting, so I'm playing with configuration to get what I "recommend" for it.

I mean I'm at the point where it's kind of a job. Pedals don't pay for my groceries or my mortgage, but pedals pay for my car and most home expenses. It's a job I still (usually) enjoy, but I can't pretend it's not a job anymore.
I felt like a pair of 12AT7 was pretty good, but I also don't really like using it for drive so I don't know how much gain I'm supposed to be able to get out of it and keep it stable.
