that's a brave venture for your third pedal!..... Just make sure you solder well.. Come in hot (385C for me).. touch the pad and lead for 1.5 seconds... bump it with the solder and watch the solder wick in and get out... trim leads.. insulate stuff that needs insulated... clean the flux off the board with 99% alcohol and a toothbrush... and rockawesome! just got my PCB in today with the face plate, will be only the 3rd pedal ive built so im very new, I guess I better go read about the suggestions. still need some parts I forgot about but this one im excited for. thanks for the pictures
yeah, im looking at this board and it looks pretty intense, could you explain what you did with the left 47k resistor? did you just combine two of them together?that's a brave venture for your third pedal!..... I have seen three different approaches, including mine which was to face them straight up as indicated on the PCB.
Go get it my friend! take your time and there is a ton of resources here to reference, so take breaks when your not sure, it’s like the old saying measure twice cut once.awesome! just got my PCB in today with the face plate, will be only the 3rd pedal ive built so im very new, I guess I better go read about the suggestions. still need some parts I forgot about but this one im excited for. thanks for the pictures
sorry I didn't see your question knappster...yes I combined the two resistors to get a determined resistance.... Part of that was to modify the values for some of monks unity gain mods on the circuit.yeah, im looking at this board and it looks pretty intense, could you explain what you did with the left 47k resistor? did you just combine two of them together?
