A friend of mine has that exact Barney Kessel model. I remember when it was sitting in a local store for ages - I played it quite a few times and it was a beautiful sounding guitar. Couldn't gel with the look though!
And (maybe 40 years ago??) I went to see a guy about a guitar he was selling and he showed me an original Trini Lopez in the 335 style that he was also selling. He wanted a very fair price but I didn't have the cash at the time. I recall it had that typical late-60s neck which was crazy narrow at the nut and crazy deep front-to-back. Too hard for my hands. It seems that I'm getting to that age where I think of how much all the guitars which have been through my hands are worth now. Best I don't dwell on it...
