Even more new Tayda powdercoats: Sand Textures

I was checking back to see if Tayda by any chance added a metallic green powder coat to their inventory since I last looked (yesterday), and while they didn't, I found that they've added some other new options– four new sand textures to compliment the sand black option. I already have some ideas in mind for the sand orange and red, and I've been hoping for sand grey for ages...

I didn’t know they did black sand! I just placed an order yesterday too. Some times she goes and some times she doesn’t go…that’s the way of the road…

OH MY GOD SAND RED, I've been wanting this for ages
I’m pretty stoked about that one myself. I’ve been using VHT crinkle red spray paint for similar stuff, but never could get it printed of course. My Foxx Tone Machine graphics will definitely wind up on it! Got a few other ideas for stuff I want to do with the sand red too.

I emailed Hugo last night asking when the new metallics and sand textures will be added to the inventory for 1590BBS and 1590DD enclosures. Hopefully soon!

The only flaky UV I had was with the black sand.
As both designs were without, I would say definitely add varnish.
But yep, that red sand sure is tempting...

HAH, just placed another Tayda order this morning and nabbed some of the new Sand colors......

Incidentally, I got the Gold in 125B....it looks a little green to me....(full disclosure I have a bit of blue/green color blindness....

Which gold is that? There’s the dark gold, regular gold, and light gold.
I wouldn’t necessarily say it looks green to me, but it does have the same bronzy tone as certain years of goldtop, which do oxidize to a slight greenish gold. Probably is bronze power in the powder coat, which imparts a very slight greenish hue. I like it!

That's the "Metallic Light Gold". For some reason it looks more "green" in person than it does in the pic. But again, that might be my color blindness coming into play.

Re: the Sand Textures, I wound up grabbing the Red, Orange and Gray Sand (and a black one). They looked really cool in the pics. I was surprised to see them when I went to order some enclosures.

In the photo it sits about here on a color wheel depending on where you sample, looks better in your photo than theirs I think.

Looks like the new metallic and mattes aren't yet offered in the pre-drilled selection. I hope they will be.

The black sand matte is my fave. Haven't tried any of the other colors, but I've used at least 100 of the black onesView attachment 30384
I just built another Gravitation Reverb for a buddy of mine. Everytime I asked him "Hey, what color enclosure do you want? I got all these cool Glimmer colors"...he always answers....."Black".......and always cream MXR knobs....
