What are we doing different? I can’t see the difference from just looking at the board, gotta be component values, maybe I. The feeeback loop?

it has one additional capacitor footprint (c7) and the footprints of c3 and c6 are smaller. other than that looks to be identical in layout.

I bought one a couple years ago since I kept reading reviews about how it was a more ‘metal’ tubescreamer, lots of people claiming big differences… apart from the high end and tone knob operation it just sounds like a ts to me. It’s brighter though, and can’t get as smooth as a stock ts.

I was going to trace mine but it’s all SMD, resistor values were on top of the components, layout was all the same and all resistor values were the same as a stock ts, capacitors were unmarked though. Iirc there was a slight difference somewhere in the tone circuit.

I’m interested in seeing the schematic to see what is actually different about it.
