After months of having a saved ebay search I was finally able to snag a busted crybaby with a solid enclosure for $30 shipped. I figure I'm gonna do the Tearjerker but was wondering what y'all have liked?

To each their own, I like mine with those noises.
Nonetheless, out of the PPCB wahferings, I selected the Tear Jerker as it seems the most versatile of the trio.
Should put the Snarling Dogs Mold Spore in the wish list. I've got the Wonder Wah II, which supposedly has the same PCB so ostensibly I could build it up with that.
What I really want to try building is the Blubber Wah, was hoping I could do that with the Tear Jerker.

On bass, I like my wah after the fuzz, I guess that's partly why the Jen Double Sound Fuzz Wah perked my ears up — fuzz > wah — I think the JDSFW sounds great.
I downloaded the schematic years ago, before I started building pedals even, and forgot about it. Looking at it now, seems Fuzz Face-ish into ?
I don't know enough about wah circuits yet — which wah circuit is the Jen's related to?

Fuzz into Wah is always the way to go imo. I think in the case of the Jen, it’s got a topology most similar to a Vox, but with some pretty significant value changes. Of course that’s just what I’ve read— I’ve yet to take a good look at pics of the original units, and iirc the few schematics floating in the web all differ pretty drastically from each other.

the enclosure got here yesterday and it smells like mildew combined with feet. gagged opening the package. i ganked the fasel off the board and just drowned the enclosure with contact cleaner and isopropyl before i left for work today.

Thanks Bricks, you're spot on about the Vox. Here's one of those schems drifting about that I found sayin' wah tis waht, Vox V846:
I have'na looked at a V846 schematic yet, but will do so later than sooner. Will keep an eye peeled for 846 variants and JDSFW variations alike.

Yer lucky it wasn't cat-spray — that stuff never comes off, not even with commercial grade de-caterizer formulas. A lifetime ago, flatmate's cat peed/sprayed on my brand-new MTBing shoes; I did everything to get rid of the cat-dew. Got the shoes to a point where I could wear them again, unless it was raining ... riding in the rain brought the full bouquet back, chuck 'm in the wash, rinse, repeat.
PS: It always rains in Vancouver, they don't call it the North Wet fer nuttin'.

You ever try ozium? A skunk died in my dad's car and that was the only thing that cleared it up

Dead skunk... Geeze.
I was 4 maybe 5, vacation trip with famn damily and the car ahead of ours hit a skunk and there was no way for us to avoid the road kill. P-U. That was just on the outside, on our tire... Dead skunk in the trunk, or on the front seat — eep!
As for Ozium, never heard of it 'til you mentioned it. If I have need again, I'll seek it out.

Liantronic quoted me $13.80 USD per unit for a similar enclosure. No idea about shipping though. shipping on these is steeep. on aliexpress at least the total comes out to around $40. that plus the screw holes not always being threaded made me pass
