Fender The Pelt [Mouton] - anyone build one?

If so, what is your impression of the pedal? I breadboarded one. The tone shaping is actually pretty good, but I'm not loving the distortion part of the circuit. It's just kinda "meh."

At least I got some inspiration from the MID switch and I know what not to do for a distortion stage. I think the description in the manual over-sells it's sonic capabilities big-time. No surprise there. I replaced the MID switch with a pot on my breadboard to explore other settings. I only liked 3 settings, so the 3-way MID switch was a good design choice. The TONE control is nothing new, but it's tuned just right IMHO.

I got the impression that the CME guy was too wacky for the Fender guy. I haven't seen many CME demo videos but they can be quite wacky and a bit almost too clever for their own good. I did like how he kept switching the lights on and off.

I like the lit knobs too. Great idea. Very ordinary sounding fuzz.
