Found some metal can BJTs, now what?

I found 6X 2N2219 and 10X 2N2907A in a stash nobody uses at work. Which circuits would they be good for? Some sort of silicon fuzz?

They both look to be pretty low gain, which can be great for fuzz. 2n2219 is NPN; 2n2907A is PNP.

Maybe an Executive (Jordan Boss Tone)? That uses a PNP and NPN.

Some of the Devi Ever circuits use the 2907 if I remember correctly. I’m also assuming you’ve got some mpsa18s. Those circuits are very simple for breadboarding

Check out Delyk's Ensi Genxyde's Hybrid Fuzz project, requires less than 40hFE (up to 40, in Ge or Sili).

If you skulk around enough, you can find a demo of it somewhere, a rather rude fuzz.
