General Tso's Compressor Mute/Buffer

Should I connect the mute and buffer if I'm just using a 3PDT?

Thanks, I should have specified, I'm using a PPCB 3PDT breakout board which has 6 connects.

I recently put one in a combo build using relay bypass boards and didn't need the buffer function, so I skipped the mute and buffer pads and it works fine. I think though if you want those functions you have to ditch the breakout board and wire it as it's shown in the build doc.

Thank you. I guess I'm confused, I understand what the buffer does but what is the mute pad for?

The mute line kills the signal after the first buffer when the pedal is bypassed.

Probably overkill, but the option is there.
