Gift ideas?

Hey guys, my wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday (within a reasonable price range that the kids can “afford”) and as usual, I blanked. After some thinking: new multimeter (mine got batter damaged a while ago and it now works intermittently), new guitar strap. End of list.

What do you guys ask your significant others as gift?

you need a multimeter... the astroai multimeter I got from amazon was pretty good for the price, and cheap enough your kids can afford it.

I usually post up a wish list of items I want from amazon, guitar stuff, kitchen gadgets, grilling gadgets and such with a swath of a price range from about $20-50.00.

You can definitely go with tools, a good multimeter, BBQ thermometer/etc, guitar strap/tuner/etc, clothes/shoes, whatever you like.
But you're a Dad, so ... you could also score a win-win by asking for something your wife and/or kids also want - maybe a trip somewhere, dinner out, etc.
You sound like a sharp and sensible guy, I'm sure you'll find the right idea.
Good luck!

PCBs in your PedalPCB wish-list that keep getting pushed down the queue (gift certificate from kids enables them to give what they can afford and you can top it up, if your wants/needs exceed the GC.

OR

PCBs from vendors you normally don't buy from, but keep meaning to get but for whatever reason(s) don't.

For example there's a few PCBs from FuzzDog, DEFX, MAE, MAS, Moonn, Lectric-FX, and others I want but have yet to pull the trigger on.
Also from Aleph Null, Schu-Tone, SheepyLove PCBs from JLPCB/Oshpark and other forumites' shared circs. JimiLee has had some PCBs I wanted and got some and some not got 'cause he was fresh out.
Dead Astronaut, Ghost, JMK, Moodysounds, Musikding, Delyk, Rullywow, THCustom, Tubetown, Zorg, 5 Cats, ElectricDruid, AMZ, Effects Layouts, GuitarPCB, GGG, PigeonFX, Parasit, GCI, EAE, SushiBox(C2C)...

There are a couple more that I forget the names of — some of the fellow-forumites have build reports of them...

Other* Pedals was one of them. PeddlerEffects, too.

@DGWVI has introduced a few new-to-me small-scale PCB vendors, I thought I'd written them down in one of my aggregating list-docs... 🤷‍♂️

HM-2 Cult was another 'n'...

Hmmm need to update my list.

Bunch of defunct, alas: Grind Custom, 1776, Nucleon, LG, Stomptown...

I've had my oldest Couch strap (gifted from my now-ex-wife) for almost twenty years. Except for the accumulated grime, it's as good as it was was brand new.
I’ve got three straps and a wallet. The GTO, the pink seatbelt and the VW (that one’s from Mrs. G). I actually had a vintage VW bus when we first met, so it’s kind of a full-circle thing. The wallet’s made from NOS Toyota seat upholstery.

They’re all super sturdy, really well made, plenty long and just plain cool and we all know that’s where the best toanz come from!
