Griffineffects gots some dope peripherals and brand name spare parts...
I have no complaints so far. Use them a lot for touting wires. How are the tweezers? I have had 2 cheapy sets and the tip bent on both and one I stabbed myself accidently reaching into my tool drawer to get it....
I have so many of all those things! I bought a big box of strings from Stewmac a few years ago and I still have most of them… I don’t change strings too regularly. I have plenty of books and I recently bought a new tuner. So I’ll probably check out tools and supplies!Tools, books, and supplies. Do you need a big box of strings? Do you need a new tuner? Things like that
Me too. I have asked for that in the past. Like a weekend where my wife would take the kids somewhere so I can get some alone time. Always a winner idea!Give me time to go play my guitar more than once a week.
But for real. I just wish I had more time to work on hobbies.
Just bought bunch of them! I should stop shopping for myself.Patch cables
I bought one of their straps years ago. It’s nice but I find it a bit stiff. I prefer suede.Couch guitar straps are amazing! Fun and something personal.

This is a very good suggestion. It’ll probably be both a physical gift and something like a family out to my favorite pizza place. You can definitely go with tools, a good multimeter, BBQ thermometer/etc, guitar strap/tuner/etc, clothes/shoes, whatever you like.
But you're a Dad, so ... you could also score a win-win by asking for something your wife and/or kids also want - maybe a trip somewhere, dinner out, etc.
You sound like a sharp and sensible guy, I'm sure you'll find the right idea.
Good luck!
I have never played hacky sack! I do love me some nice work gloves. Any specific recommendations?way too bright flashlight

I got goggles already. The light magnifier thing is very nice. And those tweezers are certainly sexy! I used one of those to pull a plastic gem out of my daughter’s ear a few weeks ago!Lighted magnifier. Something like this.

I haven’t considered more PCBs because I already have a giant backlog. But this list is very tempting…PCBs in your PedalPCB wish-list that keep getting pushed down the queue (gift certificate from kids enables them to give what they can afford and you can top it up, if your wants/needs exceed the GC.
OR
PCBs from vendors you normally don't buy from, but keep meaning to get but for whatever reason(s) don't.
For example there's a few PCBs from FuzzDog, DEFX, MAE, MAS, Moonn, Lectric-FX, and others I want but have yet to pull the trigger on.
Also from Aleph Null, Schu-Tone, SheepyLove PCBs from JLPCB/Oshpark and other forumites' shared circs. JimiLee has had some PCBs I wanted and got some and some not got 'cause he was fresh out.
Dead Astronaut, Ghost, JMK, Moodysounds, Musikding, Delyk, Rullywow, THCustom, Tubetown, Zorg, 5 Cats, ElectricDruid, AMZ, Effects Layouts, GuitarPCB, GGG, PigeonFX, Parasit, GCI, EAE, SushiBox(C2C)...
There are a couple more that I forget the names of — some of the fellow-forumites have build reports of them...
Other* Pedals was one of them. PeddlerEffects, too.
@DGWVI has introduced a few new-to-me small-scale PCB vendors, I thought I'd written them down in one of my aggregating list-docs...
HM-2 Cult was another 'n'...
Hmmm need to update my list.
Bunch of defunct, alas: Grind Custom, 1776, Nucleon, LG, Stomptown...
I got me a new guitar for my birthday a couple years ago. Recently we’ve been discussing moving back to Europe so the prospect of acquiring more bulky gear is a bit of a taboo… gotta figure this one out.My birthday is in a few weeks, I asked for a new CNC machine. I always make sure to ask for something ridiculous so the thing I buy myself (jazzmaster) seems like less of a big deal.
I took a hiatus from hacky sack from about the late 90s to a few years ago. It popped in my head one day and I impulse bought it. It’s always in my travel bag now. I’ve pulled it out around my old friends and it’s a good time.I have never played hacky sack! I do love me some nice work gloves. Any specific recommendations?
