SOLVED GPCB Dr Phybes

Dirt pedals I get when it comes to troubleshooting. This one I don't. I did the Phase 45/90 mod which I think comes standard on the Xc Phase sold here.

I get a horrible oscillation/whine when this pedal is engaged and there is also distortion, which is a big no-no for this. In the Phase 45 position I don't get anything unless I play HARD and then it's all distorted.

The quad 2n5952 set I got from GPCB, so I think they're good.

I don't have high hopes for this one, but if anyone can see something I don't relatively soon I would appreciate it. Otherwise this is just going in the bin after cannibalizing for parts.

Did you test it out before the mod?
And have you swapped the IC’s for others you may have?

Unfortunately, no. I can try swapping them.

Most of my ICs come from tayda. I’ve only had 1 bad part from them.

The reason that I asked is that the TL074 sounds like a possible culprit base on what you described, and I can't tell from the picture if it's legit or not.

So, I replaced all 3 ICs and removed the mod and it works just fine now. Now to see if the mod works. Thanks all!
