What should I look for, measurement-wise, for Q1 (2n5457)? Does it matter?

It’s just a source follower buffer so I assume it doesn’t matter much.

Idss does have implications with output impedance, but I wouldn’t worry about it here. (Inviting more knowledgeable folk to chime in)

I just threw one I had out of 10 no measuring the pedal sounds great

After going through the schematic, it doesn’t look like it would matter too much. The 5457’s I have are all pretty close anyway. Thanks for the input.
