I did something I'm not proud of ....

I love it. Practical DIY builders won't bat an eyelash.

But dudes like Jesse Honig and Paul Smith will gaslight themselves into thinking it makes a difference in toan. So, more reason to keep it.

They're on opposite sides of the board, so it's really not as bad as it looks.... but yeah ... I'm ashamed.

And it was no accident, I put it there on purpose.... and knew it... and left it there.... it was the lesser of two evils.


I ordered prototypes today, so unless it doesn't work (there's still hope) it's done, I'm accepting it and moving on.

@bean did something sorta similar with the Aquababy: the three solder points for one of the pots are bordered by the NE571 IC socket. Good use of precious board space IMO!
 
I made a load of PedalPCB stuff and then started on KiCad and laying out my own pcb … I couldn’t get the traces to work without being silly lengths it too a while to realise that if I wanted to have things at 45 degree angles and nothing lining up … then nobody would be able to stop me!!
