Ok party people. Put together a total of three Informants all at the same time. One worked perfectly first fire up. The second, the LED would stay dimly lit in bypass. The third, buffered bypass is not working. Very fun. The LED issue on the second one, I worked out, but the third one is still giving me problems.
So, here’s what’s happening, and keep in mind that I built these using the breakout board for switching between True Bypass and Buffered Bypass: basically, the pedal only stops functioning when it is in Buffered Bypass and the pedal is disengaged.
When the pedal is engaged, it works perfectly regardless of what bypass mode is selected on the switch, no change in sound switching between the two, and sounds just like the other two to my ears. When in TB, it bypasses signal normally when the pedal is off. In BB, I get no signal.
I haven’t don’t much by way of troubleshooting yet other than taking it out of the box and cleaning the board again. I also checked continuity from the switch when in Buffered Bypass mode to the IN pad of the PCB and there is continuity. I have not gone beyond that to this point, and I have not verified component values. Attaching pictures, as well as the schematic, and looking for advice on where to look next, or please point out what glaringly obvious mistake I made that I am overlooking.
