Is it contest time again?

Sifting through this thread, we have about 5 of you with general interest in some sort of non-hating contest.

Anybody else interested in hosting or participating in a contest?

Anybody willing to host or be a co-judge? Timing is a bit of an issue for me, but I can help kick something off and help judge. @Cybercow has offered up some pedal goodies as a prize.

Cybercow should be one of the judges, since he's offering up prizes.

^Looks to me like you don’t want to participate

Well, not in the expected way, but rest assured GOTA will participate.

I'll participate, but miss the deadline for completion and then let my idea languish for some future date when I finally might get around to maybe ...

SQUIRREL !

... at least I'm consistent in these contests.

I vote for the haters build thread. Must submit a build to enter. No entry, no hating. Then just rag the shit out of everyone's crap builds.
Sign me the hell up. Burnt wire, singed caps, and at least one pad where I had to remove and reinstall something a couple times? Im shoe in to bring up the rear.

I may participate in a contest submission, (depending on its nature), but as potentially a judge and/or prize contributor, I would exempt myself from being a winner at any level. Curious to learn what the contest turns out to be. I'm tapped out for ideas.

It could be like the Oscars, and have several categories...
We could call the awards the Robbies, with categories such as:
  • Most original use of a $5 diode in a 1590LB enclosure
  • Best YATS in a supporting role
  • Best original enclosure design for a shit build
  • Best foreign language PCB
  • Best editing for a PPCB demo (likely a straight gift to @MichaelW )
  • Best use of a buffer in a non-leading role
  • ...
Help me out here... And Happy 4th of July!
