Is it sacrilege to do this?

Is it sacrilege to cannibalize a production pedal for your own DIY build?

  • Hell yes, brother!

I want to make a bonkers DIY build but some functionality is limited by what I can do PCB wise. I would need to cannibalize a pedal to achieve my goal.

LAY IT ON! DO IT!

Since when did your builds conform to any sort of convention or “universal pedal truths”. Cannibalize away! I hear we taste like pork……I mean sound like pork? Smell like…. anyways, do what you gotta to bestow upon us peasants another Pauleo creation!
There are times where when I am in weird position and I breath, I snort.
You do you!
So no YATS builds, ever?

I was at an "alternative" sort of party, decades ago, where one of the activities for the evening was someone getting a branding.
I was not interested in that at all, so didn't watch, but I was within 3-5 metres (10'–16') of the ceremony when I caught a whiff:

Most certainly, we don't smell like pork and the aroma of BBQ'd human flesh is not a pleasant one.

Some pigs are more equal...

I mean, was the person who was branded rubbed down with olive oil and rock salt beforehand? Were any aromatics used? It makes a big difference.
As I said, brandings don't interest me. The person's mouth could have been stuffed with sage and fennel for all I know and liberally sprinkled with Himalayan pink salt.

There were tattoos being applied that night, piercings, rope-work demonstrations...
