That is a crazy deal for the landtone, are they truly better than the Tayda? I don't hate the Tayda, that said they aren't the nicest ones I have used.
Also - it is cheapest per switch if you buy 10 vs 20 50 and 100 haha. 73 cents each.... Crazy.

They're rated for 10k cycles. Usually I try to buy ones rated for 30k or more, on the assumption they'll be better built in general.
Damn, where are you located? For me it's 15.03 USD for the 10 pack. Anyway, yes, the stomp part has a little less wiggle and it has a nice click, not as soft but not super hard either. No failed ones as of yet for me.

I've amused those 3pdts. Blue casing with red epoxy are sold by several sellers. They work fine this far but that red epoxy isn't the best. At least on the ones I bought, it would soften some with heat. Mine were purchased a couple of years ago or more. I remember someone around that time, SBP or LMS, had some melting epoxy around that time as well.

for some reason it appears everyone thinks you gotta go for the shitty cheap blue one.
but there's options.
like the black alpha.
it aint pissweak like the blue one.
has a stronger firmer click - it might upset some folks, but it'll take the heat.

It actually says "Welcome deal" in the banner there, which it doesn't for me, so I guess it is mentioned somewhere, although obviously that is very easy to miss.
I decided I’m not going to buy one. I have several guitars, and I think the next one I buy will be exactly what I want. Plus after all the setup talk, I ordered some feeler gauges and the tools in the fret-leveling tutorial on this forum.
This may sound wild to some people, but after 28+ years I’ve never had one of my dozen+ instruments set up. Since people are talking about having to set up these guitars when they get them, I may as well set up the guitars I already have. I watched a video and indeed it does look really easy. My guess is some of them will play better.

I'm horrible for setting mine up too. I think I've done it once on the one guitar I've owned for like 15 years....but it still plays great so

I should set my guitars up every season change but I just can't keep up. I think that properly set up guitars sound better in addition to playing better
Write down the truss rod adjustments as you go.
Stick a post it in the cavity of the final adjustment and a date(2/5 turn clockwise, 12/24)
If you move to doing so seasonally, after a few times you'll have a good idea of exactly what to do.
And clean your damn fretboard and oil it while you're at it. If it's been a long time, be sure to oil and let it set before touching the frets. Had a buddies guitar that had probably never been touched(tech wise) and you could have cut a tree with the feet ends. After oiling and sitting overnight, the feet ends, save a couple, were fine. It was soooo dry. I've never used that much oil on a guitar. I drizzled some across the fretboard and by the time I picked up a rag it was all gone!
This is me with floating trems vs truss rods. I'm convinced that you just have to fuck it up enough times to master it and apparently I'm not there yet.I hate to start tweaking my guitar setup because it turns into an endless cycle where I'm never quite as happy as I was before I started.
