Kaleidoscope vs Octagon

Is all the functionality of the Kaleidoscope pedal available in the Octagon?

It looks like the Kaleidoscope pedal uses a custom eeprom with the 3-program FV-1 PCB. I see that the Kaleidoscope EEPROM can be ordered separately. I believe it would work in the Octagon for the 3 programs on that EEPROM.

The Octagon does have a Kaleidoscope mode. The Width control behaves slightly different, but the effect is the same.

Just to clarify, does the kaleidoscope eeprom have 3 modes or just 2? The info section only mentions 2 modes (ascending and descending), but the build docs (from the Pythagoras) says use an on-off-on.

I have the kaleidoscope from the eeprom builder page (it's descending I believe). I Think it's my favorite fv-1 effect so far!
