Katanasound Super Bass Fuzz

DEFX just released a board for this one, which is how I discovered the circuit. It's apparently a Univox Super Fuzz with a green ringer in the octave section, and a clean blend, among a few other mods. Listened to a demo of it, and it sounds absolutely massive, and particularly incredible on the Bass VI.

Normally I'd hate to suggest copying a DEFX board right after it's released, and I do love their stuff and will probably build one from their board of this in the future, but this is one that I think should 100% be in a 125B, and i really don't want to shell out the pedalboard space in my bass rig for a 1590C

Ohh this sounds great. I’d prefer it in a portrait 1590BB though since it has two foot switches.

EDIT: 125B with the dual function relay switching would also be rad.

The circuit looks almost identical to a fOXX Tone Machine, with an added dry blend.
Ah dang. Still incredible sounding. I haven’t looked at the schematic yet bc the doc isn’t loading with the terrible cell service I’ve been having this week, but is it different enough to warrant its own board? Just that the clean blend is also boosted and the octave is a foot switch I think probably makes it worthwhile to have it’s own layout instead of hacking together a buff and blend, an added output boost, and off board wiring and all that, but idk

On it's own, not really... But when you factor in the second footswitch and clean blend, maybe so.

I also recently updated the Fuzzy Fox project to include the clipping diode selector from the Keeley Wolff, and there's the Fat/Bright switch from the Fulltone Ultimate Octave (in another wishlist thread)...

All of those features combined might make a pretty cool project.

Ok I'm back on board.
