Pcb is gooped so it would be easy to repair for the manufacturer by simply dropping in a new gouped board. You could even send it to the user to replace without needing to solder anything.
To pull covers off enough to detach connections you need some messy wiring.
It's a clever design productionwise and pedal sounded amazing. I sold it just because of the price.

I'm curious about this one for sure, but I must say, I see a lot of things going on in that box but clever production is not the impression I get.

There are six connectors that could easily be plugged into the wrong spot, an unnecessary rats nest of wires, flying resistors and capacitors, and seriously, what's with that battery? I actually hope it's glued down because otherwise bad things are going to happen when it starts banging around in there.

The construction puts me off more than the goop.

Tone Quest is like penthouse for the TGP crowd. That article is hard to read. Words like delicious, tasty, mesmerizing, juicy, subtle and dramatic make me not want to play a pedal. If it were so life affirming wouldn't they want to sell more units at an attainable price point. Watch it be a modified OD250 . That construction is horrendous. I want @Robert to do this just to stick it to the guy. Let's mythbust this dude's marketing.
