LM1458H metal can

I've seen the 1458 commented as being dual "improved" µA741s, but I'm not a silicon whisperer enough to tell you what that means.

For example, I have read—with very few details in the write-up—that the OP07 started with relatively "get the job done" specs, and would typically perform okay. But in subsequent die revisions PMI would iterate on various aspects to improve SNR, among other things. I.e. the OP07 you get from TI, is going to be less noisy than an OG H can specimen. Where this crosses over into our small pool of electrical engineering, I can't say.

Also stands to reason that how this correlates to the revisions of the LM1458 I can't say definitively, but it stands to reason that depending on the date code there will be some incremental improvements to the fab process.
