Loop switcher

Would love something like the gigrig g2.
8-16 in, buffers, programmable order midi etc etc.
Is this something that is possible?
The big problem i think of is finding enclosures big enough.

I talked about doing something like this a long time ago. Hammond makes some pretty big steel enclosures.

Switchable order is the toughest part. If you want to be able to switch the order of effects on-the-fly and have true-bypass it's going to take a large matrix of relays. (a LOT of them)

It is doable though. It might be something to tackle once everything is caught up.

Sincere question, for the switcher matrix (switchable order), how about a high-quality analog switch, like the following: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ts5a3166.pdf. This has low on-state resistance of 0.9 ohms, and off isolation of -64 dB.

You will have a lot of switches, so it would be nice to find some economies (even considering power and space, let alone cost). :)
