My first pedal from the Bean!

I'm still getting the hang of the controls, but having a lot of fun playing one-man jam band.

Love the color of this pedal -- where do you get those black washers -- do you make them?

I've got the Mad Bean Wavelord in my to-do pile, but I've been a little afraid to start on it because I don't want to screw it up, but I'm really looking forward to that build.

Wavelord looks rad! I get the hesitation though. I’ve got a skoolie in the drawer too, but I keep skipping over it for simpler stuff.

The washers are slightly custom. They start out with a much smaller inner diameter. I stack 5 or 6 at a time in the chuck of a metal lathe and bore the ID to .470”

As to where they come from, I picked them all up on the ground outside a burned out factory down the street from my house. There’s an open area behind it where some friends and I used to ride skateboards. They added some fencing and I can’t get back there anymore, but my buddy made me this drawing of the spot. Not sure what I’ll do when I run out of them, but I’ve got quite a few left still.

My lathe doesn’t speak metric, so it’s .470.

I didn’t mean I thought it was gonna be a problem finding different washers, just that I haven’t had to think about it yet. Plenty of washer-talk here if I need any inspiration.
