Just tested the switch with my DMM and all three pins are shorted together. So I assume the switch is shot (I must have forgotten to test it). Now I could really use that Pace flat tip. Paging Dr @fig

Well that would explain why the effect is so "subtle" on your build hahaha. Glad you could track it down so fast.

Bridge all three lugs with a blob of solder and lay the iron across them sideways.
(assuming you have a way to remove all that solder from the PCB afterwards)

Or try that wire trick.

That worked like a charm without any damage to other components!

Edit: sorry for derailing this thread with my struggles! I’ll hold the rest for my build report.

Awww yeah! Totally gonna do this. I have some boards I’m not boxing and have been harvesting for parts.
