I'm starting down the Devi Ever rabbit hole a bit. The description for this one is best described by Alec from MAE:
"Cronus is based around the Devi Ever Hyperion. The Hyperion is made up of two subcircuits, a Dark Boost into a 33. However, both are based on the same MPSA18 booster stage and ILF (Ilovefuzz.com) user Stanimal figured out that you could make either side a DB or a 33 with a simple switch. I've taken my own modded unit and transferred it to PCB with modern improvements such as a polarity protection diode and power supply filtering."
With the toggle switches added it gives some more versatility to this pedal. Here's the idea:
Toggle Down - 33 / Toggle up - DB / Toggle Center - 05
Combos:
DB + 33 = Hyperion
DB + DB = Ruiner
05 + 05 = Ruby
33 + 33 = Hounds toothish
The Ruby and the Ruiner sound fantastic to me. They are wild and not for the faint of heart. Which I love. Not very useful for me in most band settings but super fun, nonetheless.
Messed around with a random pattern for the decal. I dig it. Looks like a 'W' on it but its unintentional. And picked up so NOS LEDs from Electronics Goldmine that I got the idea from another member from this forum. Sorry I can't remember who, but thanks!
Happy with this build. Easy peasy.
