I made this a while ago, but I thought it would be fun to saturate the build report forum with Muffin Factories.

This was probably one of my slowest builds. A combination of acquiring parts, and researching various mods. All said and done I didn’t change much. Mainly swapped r2 and r3.

Shoutout to @swelchy for hooking me up with the germanium transistors. It was actually the first build that I used germanium transistors.

That first post in the old IAIGF thread stuck in my head. So I left the leads super long. It felt fun at the time.

Looking over your build, I think it looks like you changed R25/26 - I cant tell what the values are that you used though?
Were there any other changes other than flipping R2 and 3? and would you recommend them?

I went looking through all the builds I could find, I cant see anyone else building anything other than stock.

R25/R26 are stock. It’s just not great lighting.

Because that is what was in the original.

This and another pair of values (discussed in another thread) have always bugged me...


I suspect that the intention was for those values to be swapped, 47K in the fixed position and 110K switched.

This would allow the dipswitch to select between 47K and 33K input resistance, instead of the current 110K / 33K.
