Muffin fuzz Capacitor layout

Howdy,

I just recently purchased the muffin fuzz pcb and I am trying to make the green Russian version. This is only my 3rd build and just want some clarity before I proceed and mess something up.
I believe the three holes in the pcb are to accommodate for either electrolytic or ceramic capacitors but I'm not 100% sure. When soldering my capacitor should I do it the way I have in the picture below?
Then if I used a ceramic would I use the 2 that don't have the positive marking?
then last dumb question: do I have to solder the empty hole shut or leave it open?

thanks in advance!

I haven’t built one, but looking at the board, I’m pretty sure the circles are connected. So you would use the square and either round hole. The cap in your picture would drop straight into the middle hole. A fatter film cap would fit as you show and drop straight in.

If you have a meter, you could check that the round holes are the same place in the circuit.
