20 years is how long I've been at my current day job. It's a nice one, but still - - way too long, and I don't feel like changing it either at my age (52). Solution : retire at the earliest opportunity (55), and supplement modest early pension with side hustle stuff.

I have enough in my 401k to live high on the hog for about 3 months, comfortably for about 6 months or still be able to eat ramen for about a year.

I retired at 70, just about 3 years ago. Gotta say, being a teenager all over again (well, no first dates, etc…) is a lot of fun! 40 years in that profession, 39 as “the boss”—a non-stop run of several deadlines a week. My first retired year I think I just sat and read, cooked, went on many hikes, and played guitar everyday. No interest in the many projects I thought I’d jump tight into—just the sweet bliss of not having to do anything.

I got about 788923150 seconds to count off from... (When I turn 67... Though that will likely have increased to about 70 by then).

Considering I started working when I was 35, and only part-time (24h) because I consider time more valuable than money... My most viable option is to sell my possessions and live somewhat cozy in some half-poor Asian or Eastern-European village for whatever remains of my life. The Baltic chihuahuas look appealing enough, for now.

I got an earlier retirement than expected. Fine by me! The work just disappeared gradually as the whole nature of the business changed, and nobody wants an "old guy" taking their photos it seems, even if I would be faster and light better. I much prefer messing around with electronics and woodwork anyway and my wife is happy to take up the slack for a few years. I am a lucky SOB!

I don't know about you, but as a woodworker myself, I already build a miniature version of the rocking chair I want to comfortably deteriorate in.
