My Softii overdrive has very low volume.

Hello, i have an issue with my softii build. The circuit works but the volume is really really quiet. Anyone who can help me out?
Kit is from Musikding.

Double check all your solder joints and reflow where necessary. Also, it looks like you need some insulators for those pots. Otherwise it could be shorting out on some of those leads sticking out in the back. You'll be fine using some cardboard or card stock. Pot covers work best, though.

If it's still not working right, we should check some voltage to make sure the JFETs are biased correctly.

Here's the deal with JFETs: they are NOT plug-n-play. They have to be tested and selected for the specific circuit. That's what the pro builders do.
