No more 99 cent shipping from Tayda!?!

I had the option as of my last order on Monday. I loved it because I could grab everything I needed to build a pedal for under $10 shipped. I order 2-3 times a week. I never had to compile orders and there was always something in the mailbox.
I've never seen the option for USPS .99 either. If it were an option I'd be in trouble.....hahaha.
How long does that option take to get to you?

They use a reshipping service out of Colorado. Anywhere from 1 day to 1 week to get to Colorado depending on where in their shipping cycle I land, and then another 2-3 days from Colorado to my mailbox. They always come USPS with tracking.

I've had the "Oh Shit I've run out of ..." — in fact, I've got that right now and need:

- Jacks, both 6.35mm and DC

- B100k Pots with legs

- 390k resistors

And a few more things besides.

When that happens I wait until I have more things needed to pad the order, or I pre-emptively strike and pad the order with other additional things...

Now I need to hold off until Tayda comes back to cents-able shipping... I want 99¢ shipping on 100 jacks and 50 B100k pots...
Well, at least offer POSTal shipping, — flat out NO to DuHeLl and oUPS.

Well ever since this thread, I've got a cartload of electrolytic caps in my Tayda account, I keep checking it to see if the .99 cent shipping options pops up.....haven't seen it yet....hahaha....

I emailed Tayda this morning and asked whether the USPS shipping option was going to return. They replied and said that because of USPS price increases they can't afford to offer the USPS shipping option anymore. What a bummer.

Bummer. They didn’t reply to me. This will significantly change my routine. Ship happens though, even if it’s speedy.

looking like a longer shipping time than my last UPS order from them. I was already not enthused to not have USPS as an option but if UPS is going to take as long as that did then I need to go on Vendor Tinder and find the next one to help me spend my money

I never noticed this previously because I don't usually make large orders, but the larger I made my order, the more the DHL option went down in price. It went from $12 to $6.__ by the time I checked out after I went over $100 it seemed

I worked out how DHL charges apply based on component type so only order from certain categories.

Do you happen to know if multiple duplicate line items are charged individually?

For example, if there are five line items "Printed circuit board", are you charged for one line item, or all five?

Speaking of German charges, though this is documented as EU wide, it would be one line item. The DHL charges are based on customs category, and the aggregation of all invoice line items into the category becomes the DHL line item. If that makes sense..

Apparently you can translate the order into your local language and send it to DHL so they don't charge you extra, then you pay import tax and you get the package.
