I just checked, and the shipping price is the same as always for me.This is interesting.
This is interesting.
Interestingly for me, the two options were $1 and $19
Added weight with no holes? Wtf?As another test, I removed all drill, UV, and gloss products, and the shipping went UP by $1. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I need this to stabilize before I place my order!![]()
Sorry, slightly off topic. The cheapest option for me in Europe is $12 by DHL when the price is around $60. If I cross that, it lowers to $10 and stays there no matter the price. This is the reason I had to quit buying from Tayda. DHL charges a customs processing fee of $20, so I would need to order quite a lot (at least for me) to make it worth it.
I think that might be country-dependant, so you will have to check how it works in Italy. In Finland I can choose between self-declaration, or a declaration service. The service costs a lot compared to how much I usually buy (something 30€ for the declaration service maybe?), but for self-declaration it's a bit of a hassle the first time (since the system for figuring out which is the correct line item on the declaration is NOT simple - I basically have to call them every time I order something different) but after that I only pay VAT.Sorry, slightly off topic.
I'm from Italy, and I used to order with Thailand Post delivery, most expensive, but I know have to pay just the VAT at the delivery.
In my cart there's almost 100 $ of material, under 0,9 kg of weight and Thailand Post delivery is around 30 $. The DHL delivery changes a bit while I add items in the cart, started around 12 $, then decreased at about 8 $, now is 11.14 $.
I don't know if I have to order with DHL 11.14 $ + ? $ or I have to use Thailand Post and I know I'll pay 30 $ + 22% Italy VAT.
With Thailand Post I can calculate the total and I have to wait probably one month to get the package (not a real problem for me).
With DHL I'll get the package sooner, but I can't calculate how I'll pay in total. More or less then DHL?
If somebody can answer me... Grazie!

My recollection is that they weren't shipping from Thailand via USPS, but were doing packet shipping (i.e. ship a big box of pre-packaged orders to a company in Colorado that would open the box and hand the individual packages over to USPS). I haven't noticed a meaningful change in USPS prices over the last few years, but the cost for low-skilled warehouse labor has definitely gone through the roof. A couple of other Asian vendors that used to do packet shipping have stopped over the last year, so I suspect that packet shipping prices are the likely culprit.(Shakes fist at Louis Dejoy)
