No negative posts allowed?????

I guess what concerns me is prioritizing getting the negative review out there in the wild over resolving the problem or even asking for a refund.

This very well could just be frustration, and I get it, I've thrown my stuff against the wall in frustration... It's really annoying when things don't go well, and it's infuriating when they go wrong twice.... but there are also those folks out there who don't really "appreciate" what we do here and take every chance they can to throw shade, even if it's fabricated.

I'm just trying to determine which one we're dealing with. Either is fine.
It’s an interesting tangent …

Back in the old days old be drawing schematics from freestompboxes/diystompboxes counting vero holes, soldering, then find the updated schematic on the next page, fire the thing up and spend the next while trying to see where my thing looked different to the screen one - then ild actually have to try and work out what a bit of the circuit actually was to bug fix it.
That was the game.

Nowadays - esp with a decent board I’m kinda surprised if it doesn’t fire up straight away - and I’ve seen folk just starting with diy builds where if it doesn’t work first time, they go and buy another kit from Musikding and try again - which is madness in my mind!
Heck, my last project the PedalPCB board wouldn’t fit in a 1590b - so I laid out my own version and had some JLCPCB robots place half the parts for me for something that would fit in 1590a! This is me who basically am a paint by numbers bodger and still struggle with some of the basics of electronics …. But I wonder if the ease of things now doesn’t train you for when it’s a pain, or you spend every evening for a week looking for a single strand of wire that is bridging two solder points …

Its Amazon's. Its his cable company's. Its any corporate behemoth that has grown too large to engage in such petty things like humane interactions with its customers.
In the spirit of this, maybe Robert can outsource his customer service to a chatbot.

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience — I’m really sorry to hear about the trouble you’ve had with the Sabbath distortion boards. That sounds incredibly frustrating, especially after double-checking your build and encountering issues with both PCBs.

We appreciate your detailed feedback regarding the voltage divider issue and the lifted pads. Your note about using a temperature-controlled iron is helpful, and it sounds like you’ve taken all the right steps. I’ve flagged this with our quality assurance team so they can investigate further.

Regarding your review not appearing — that’s definitely not the experience we want you to have. Reviews are important to us, and I’ll check on the status of yours and make sure it’s addressed.

In the meantime, we’d love to help troubleshoot further or offer a replacement if needed. Could you please share a few photos of the affected areas on the board? That will help us better understand what went wrong and how we can make it right.

Thanks again for your patience — we’re here to help and want to make this right for you.

Yes, I've lifted pads on a couple of PPCB boards of the likely 100 I've built. There I said it.

I absolutely brutalized those boards in a frantic bit of troubleshooting or parts swapping. I mean to the point where running jumpers to replace traces was even out of the question. But man I had to WORK to get a pad to lift.

To the original poster - you won't find a more compassionate or helpful group of people in either real or digital life. Period. So bring on your issues. If this was just a drive by mud fling: go fuck yourself.

This is true.

But also, if this is a drive by mug fling, still bring on your issues. All fun either way.

Didn't you even take up fishing after you stopped building pedals? At least i remember seeing a picture of you on a boat somewhere. Maybe you were sourcing diodes?
Anything not to play guitar 😀

NO fishing, took up fly-tying instead...
