This past Sunday, coming back from a car-show, my friends and I popped into an antique-junk store and I almost bought an old metal speaker box, likely a school PA thing ā€” looked a lot like the grey cabinet in PunchySunshine's post above.

Alas some idiot thought they'd get more money if they brushed it with red. Would've made a cool little box for a Champ build, but I didn't feel like stripping off the red. See the box above I regret not buying it.

Why do Sanfred & Sons- wannabees always think they're "improving" something when it's better left untouched?

As for listening... Guys I jam with every three months or so are keen on imbibing some April Wine ā€” So I'm learning some bass-lines.

True, in that it doesn't matter for the music. But I think it does when you go through her lyrics which deals with all the stuff that comes with starting life 0-4 against you. The rage comes from a place, and I wanted those who care to listen to have some pointers where the music comes from (there's an autobiographical trilogy in her discography) without having to look up the backstory. It doesn't speak for itself as much like, say metal.

I've built one of those Burst-Boxes already, in 1590A, twas one of my earliest builds. Good fun.

Two stompers, one is latching the other is momentary.
If the latching is "ON" then the momentary acts as a KILL-switch.
If the latching is "OFF" then the momentary acts as a BURST-switch.


Back to the tunes...
