A friend of mine has a xeroxed copy of one of his journals. Bits and pieces of lyrics and random thoughts. I vaguely remember seeing early versions of what eventually made its way onto Magnolia Electric Co. I loved The Lioness. One of the most stark albums I've ever listened to.

I’m currently in Amsterdam, heading to Utrecht for Snarky Puppy’s recording session with Metropole Orchestra for their new album. I am incredibly excited about this! I have been wanting to see one of their recording sessions forever!

Ik voel permissie om even in het Nederlands te communiceren. Heb vorig jaar een concert in Carré van Sohn met Metropole orkest bezocht. Zowel Carré als Metropole Orchestra zijn een ervaring.

(Seen Sohn last year in Amsterdam Carré Theater with the Metropole Orchestra. Both theater and the Orchestra are a great experience. Tivoli Utrecht is a great venue btw)

Late to the party. Dude does some pretty awesome fretwork and it's stellar at using effects. Eric Clapton recently said Mike Gordon "Mk. Gee" is one of the most inventive guitar players he's ever heard. Said he reminds him of when Prince hit the scene in the 80's. I've been digging "Rylee and I" and "Candy" lately. Which is waaaay outta my wheelhouse of music I enjoy, I'm a Deadhead. But dude plays a guitar, Jaguar, so yeah.......
