P90's Compared

I like the Stacked Duncans the least.

Impressed with how the Stew Mac one's sound but the Lollar still has more of the complex harmonic content to my ears. Even over YouTube.

Duncan sounds like 50’s to me, Lollar sounds like 60’s. Stew Mac sounds good, but if they are $100, I imagine 95$ of that is markup…

I want the Duncan’s in a LP or a Hollowbody, and the Lollars in anything else…

As much as I'm tempted to replace the P90 in my Coronet with a Mojotone 56 Quiet Coil, hum cancelling pickups just sound lifeless.

My Epi is alive! I guess I'll have to live with the hum.

BTW my P90 is a good 7mm away from the strings and I raised the pole pieces to match the output to my other guitars. However conventional wisdom says P90s need to be right up against the strings, 1.5-2mm away.
I'm gonna splurge on a set of dogear shims but in the meantime what is your experience?
