I don’t know why I keep buying black enclosures. I think they should look awesome, but then they immediately just look like fingerprints and cat hair. This one really seemed like it needed to be black though.
This was my first pedal with a rotary switch. Labeling the switch positions was tricky. For some reason the stops aren’t oriented very square to the axis the switch is mounted on. I think I copied the clipping abbreviations from someone else’s build report. Thanks to whoever that was! I also had to track down a spline shaft knob. I went with this one because it almost matched these Boss middle style knobs I had. Turns out I don’t like them very much. They look fine, but the indicator is real hard to see from above.
I overtightened the LED bezels and cracked the clear coat. I’ve been mostly using the plastic lenses, and now I have another reason to like those.
I’m hoping this will inspire me to play some more doomy stuff!
