Parentheses Fuzz D1 and D2

Sorry to bug you guys, but I have another Parentheses question. The parts list calls for GE diodes for D1 and D2. I'm not sure what GE means.
Thanks!!!

No problem! GE stands for Germanium. You can use silicon diodes instead if you don’t have germanium’s. They are in the octave part of the circuit I believe so the main thing is to match the forward voltage so you get a stronger octave signal

I used some fake 1n34’s I got off Amazon. They were sold as geraniums but they are100% silicon. They work just fine

Agree with KR Sound about socketing them. Good for experimenting and protecting them from heat. Germanium has a lower melting point which an iron could easily damage (I've done it several times before I got the hint).

SIP strips should be in stock almost anywhere other pedal parts are gotten and trimmed to desired length
