Parentheses Fuzz

im gonna be the contrarian and say that I wasn't all that impressed with matched 5817s when i breadboarded the octave circuit (numerous times).
not trying to be a dick, it's just that i got better results with matched D9Es (but tbh i can't remember how much attention i was paying to leakage values).
regardless, 5817s do work just fine.

also gonna throw my 2 cents in and suggest it's not only the diodes that need to match.
- if you really give a shit about having a nice strong octave effect, i've found it also helps to match C4+C5 & R11+R12

Since it's not just clipping, but rectum-frying, matching all components can help ensure the folded over (lower)wave is of close level to the original waveform(upper).
If you really want to tune it, install the JDSleep trimmer and tune it with a some wave and scope
