Is there a cool parts store in LA?

I’m flying in tomorrow for the day, it would be great if there was a shop I could stop at and pick up stuff,

I’m thinking like a Small Bear kind of shop, or the electronics district in Tokyo.

Anything like that?

My metro is decent size but I’m embarrassed to say I’ve never considering looking around for a shop (Minneapolis, no it didn’t burn down).

You may not know that the sales tax rate here is 10%, so in many cases you'd be better off buying off of eBay.

I live in LA, not much brick and motar left. There used to be a big electronics shop in Culver City, but not anymore. Even the Fry's are gone, now. Still some cool music stores, though. I'd recomend Truetone Music in Santa Monica.

Apex Surplus/ Apex electronics is a mecca I've heard. They do a lot of prop supply too so vintage test gear, missiles, electronics. Just mountains of stuff

Had chicken and waffles, Korean and tacos from a taco truck so a pretty successful day trip
