A while back, I had made a King of Tone with “regular” diodes, but I was not impressed. I ended up selling it, but was still allured by the mystique of the KoT. I have lost love for the dual footswitch pedals, so I wanted to try the Prince of Tone. I normally do not splash the cash for unobtainium, but I couldn’t help myself. I had found a source for the MA856 diodes and bought them spontaneously (Disclaimer- If these diodes are not authentic MA856’s, please don’t tell me. Ignorance is bliss… 
). The diodes were expensive, but they really make this pedal pop. The sound is glorious, especially with my Strat. The knobs were also a little pricy, but I think it goes well with the pedal. Enjoy!
