Hello!
This is my build of the Cataclysm delay by Pedal PCB which is based on the Disaster Transport Jr. by Earthquaker Devices.
What attracted me to this circuit is the dead-simple ease-of use and its' TONE control that darkens the repeats. The TONE control is proving itself to be quite useful since it also cuts out the little bit of static from the pt2399 chip.
Using red knobs is almost like cheating.. they make just about anything look better to me.
This one's an older build that finally got the attention it needed to be complete. When I originally built it, the effect functioned but it had a ridiculous noise-floor in the repeats. I was still experimenting with different techniques of grounding the circuit to the faceplate and this one was rigged based on an especially poor idea. Delay being low on the list of needs at the time, I set it aside and worked on other stuff. Since then, I've come up with a much better grounding strategy, and I'd actually like to add a delay to my set-up now, so I re-visited it.
Most of the noise was banished by solid grounding to the faceplate and the situation was improved even more when I replaced the old pt2399 chip with a nicer one sent over by the kind and generous @blackhatboojum.
Thanks again, Clinton- what a guy!
*Does anybody recognize what this graphic is based on?
It relates to a junior transport disaster I had years ago in a certain CA bay area city:
If you're wondering WTF is wrong with this guy who thinks it's okay to build upside-down pedals with no pants on, this thread may answer a question or two:

Thanks for looking!
