Okay, what's wrong with D-Cell batteries?? Full disclosure, I own stock in Energizer Batteries, but I do use Duracell on stage...

Everybody knows alkaline batteries degrade your tone. It's carbon zinc batteries from the dollar store or gtfo :)
Also Duracell has a history of exploiting bunnies.

Ahh, okay. I apparently didn't get that memo. I don't actually use them in my pedals -- only in my bass. I've never noticed any tone suck from alkaline.
