I'm down to an even dozen cats, and four dogs. The combined weight of my huskies is 275lb.... Lost FIVE cats last year. wtf.... 2 got run over, this after 32 years in the same house and not one run over, two died of covid, and one just disappeared.

fwiw, I've had cats reappear 3 years after they disappeared and then disappear again. My theory is that someone on the block has much better food, or a warmer lap.

Sorry about the cats - that’s a lot to deal with.

Also, that’s a lot of husky!! . At least if you ever break down, they can pull the car home. We used to joke about that when we had a couple of bernese mntn dogs. Said well, if we get stuck in the snow, we’ll just hitch up to the dogs and let ‘em pull us free.
