Pneumatic lifted pedalboard?

Hey guys, I bought a nice custom made pedalboard on Etsy (see picture). The board sits in its case which also has a lid. I’ve been thinking about customizing it with some pneumatic hinges so that the board can be lifted up for easier access to the power supply. Right now the board attaches to the case with Velcro which makes it annoying to lift and reposition (in the right place). This may be a long shot, but I’m fishing for ideas on how to accomplish this. I found coffee table lift mechanisms on Amazon but they are too big to fit in the case (which is maybe 2.5 inches deep). Any suggestions will be appreciated!

Maybe something like this. I think gas struts are what you’re after if you want to hold the top open.

You’d also need a hinge. A piano hinge might be easier to fit, or you could get a couple small hinges. Just make sure they fold the way you need them to.

Check out hinges for folding leaf-tables. I've got a pair meant for a table-top that attaches to a wall and fold the table down to save space when not needed. They're compact and have a manual catch to lock the table/lid in place.

Can't find anything similar to what I have online, and they are in transit or I'd post a photo.

I can't help with the pedalboard but good work on the Tone King Imperial. I'd love one of those. How do you find the attenuator? I've read a lot of good things but have never been able to try one.

I love that amp. The attenuator sounds great: I can get high volume tone at bedroom level. But most of all, the character of the amp is just wonderful, it brought my guitars to new life.
