Poly Face - a couple of various issues... (updated with visible gut shot...)

So I built a PCB Mania Poly Face... I can get the voltages to come in as normal on the board. I'd initially had a lot of LFO noise both in bypass and active, and by changing out a couple of the chips for presumably non-knockoff versions and running shielded input/output lines I've managed to get the bypass LFO noise eliminated. The active LFO noise is still there - more tolerable, but still there... The direct out just gives me a buzzing sound, however. The suggested wiring shows the jack with no ground, but I've tried it both ways with the same issue. Thoughts?

I’m a lttile late but I just built one. It is pretty noisy, at least running it through a breadboard. I still have to play with it but it does not phase shift much.

lol. Some of them have some mistakes but I’ve built about 10-15 different ones that worked and sounded great. Very hit or miss.
It's not that they're all shit - I'd even argue that the vast majority of them probably work just fine, and the ones I've built have been fine from a layout perspective.

But you can either buy PCB's from people who do actual verification builds and fix issues with them, or you can buy from the one that doesn't do verification builds so who knows if it works or not. That means when you run into an issue with a build, you don't know if it's something you did wrong or if the PCB was just broken to begin with.

(note I'm not sure if they've improved recently and do actual verification builds or not, this is more about their earlier output that I have experience with)
