I gotta give it up to you guys and girls, I've been reading the reddit diy pedals sub forum and I have seen the worst diy has to offer there. That subreddit is undefeated when it comes to stupidity. I thought I had seen some ridiculous nonsense here, but they have the most clueless mouth breathers on the Internet, even more than the facebook diy pedals group. @Robert should vet buyers on the storefront and not sell to anyone posting on Reddit . Here are some great posts from the past couple days I've seen. These are not serious people

Agreed. For us being in the age of infinitely accessible info you’d think some of the questions over there just wouldn’t be asked. On the other side of the coin, I’ve seen some builds of complexity and quality that just blew my mind that I seldom see here.

Actually, it does help if you breadboard a lot to prevent the component leads eventually oxidising.

The duel switch for my vox ac30 reverb and tremolo has two LEDs and no battery. It just occurred to me one day that I had never replaced a battery. I opened it up and it's just a TRS cable wired to two switches with an led each and no resistors.... Magic

Yep, but it is not obvious how it's done, even looking at the schematic. Just sayin, I could see this one as a stupid but genuine rookie mistake.

I don't look at those other sites and have zero desire to comingle with the unwashed masses... <puts nose back in air>

Upon my first visit to the Reddit DIY Pedals Sub Forum it quickly became apparent that 95% of the active membership are "paint-by-numbers" builders who have no strong interest in 'actual' DIY. More like DIFM. (Do It For Me)

Parts-look-up-foo, part-identification-foo, independent research, and/or reading seem nearly non-existent by the members there. When with just a hint of any of those most of their questions can be self-resolved.

This is why I only sell stuff to forum members. People have to create an account on a proper forum to get to me. That represents a certain level of commitment, and the DIFM crowd generally don't last long here. That said, if you make it past those hurdles, I'm happy to help with questions, since the survivors are the kind of people that generally do a cursory web search before DMing me.

I i handload rifle ammo for hunting and competitive shooting, and you damn right I wear gloves when prepping brass casings, but pedals? WTF?!?
Ill sometime use a glove when painting via spray cans or my airbrush, but thats it.
