Saturday poll: do you like a belly carve on your guitar?

I really like the cuts on a Strat. I also have it on my Novo Serus J which is really comfortable, but also very light. My G&L ASAT has no cuts whatsoever and I don’t mind that at all (love that guitar). I also play classical guitar (foot stool and all) and I find the edges a bit much after a while, but I guess it’s part of the suffering

I always thought the carved back was for weight... never thought about the belly... skinny guy problems....

I don't have a belly and the belly cut is absolutely necessary for comfort. It becomes less of an issue when standing and I agree that the arm bevel is more important but flat stomachs also benefit from bidy contours IME.

He isn't playing at the moment. Exceptions can be made during non-performance periods. Except shorts, the closest allowance is for being at the beach or swimming pool and wearing swimming trunks.

However in the (extremely) rare case you are a bass player who also flies your bands tour plane then you are allowed the occasional pass on the shorts rule.
